Poster presentations allow presenters to provide a visual summary of their research to be displayed during the conference to the delegates. During ICMET Oman 2019, there will be dedicated time allocated in the conference program for poster viewing by delegates, and also an opportunity for poster presenters to be available to discuss their work with conference delegates on an individual basis.
A poster should be self-contained and self-explanatory, allowing delegates to examine it on their own while the author is free to discuss particular points raised in enquiry. All posters presented during the conference will be reviewed by members of the Technical Programme Advisory Committee (TPAC) of the conference.
A “Best Poster Award” will be awarded to the presenter who is rated the highest in the review undertaken by the Technical Programme Advisory Committee.
Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
The programme will be accredited for Continuing Professional Development (CPD), which can be logged within Echo, the IMarEST’s online CPD monitoring tool, to demonstrate delegates’ commitment to keeping up to date on the most recent and cutting-edge developments within the sector.
Complimentary IMarEST Membership
All non-member participants will be made IMarEST Affiliate Members for one calendar year, getting instant access to institute’s services; full details can be found at www.imarest.org.
Poster Submission Guidelines
To assist presenters with their posters, we have prepared “Guidelines for Poster Presentations” and an ICMET Oman 2019 “Poster Template” that we highly recommend presenters to use. These instructions are intended to ensure consistency in style and format.
Presenters interested in submitting their posters to ICMET Oman 2019, are requested to register for the conference and submit their Poster Abstract at firstname.lastname@example.org, by 20th of September 2019. For Poster Presentations, the reduced fee for students ($55 USD) should be selected during registration process.
